Using Mandrake 9.1 and pan 0.14.2. Pan 0.14.2 and knode continuously loose connection during downloads. There are no problems sending or receiving email or browsing the web. I've set number of connections at 1,2,3 and 4; didn't help. Removed Pan then reinstalled. Also removed and reinstalled kppp, kdenetwork, and knode. Since news uses port 119, is there a way to check it out, or change to another port. Any suggestions appreciated.
Doesn't sound like it's related to Pan if Knode drops the connection also.Is there a way that you can verify that it's not your NSP dropping the connection? Also, depending on your NSP, they may support connections on port 120. Contact
your NSP for details.
