Have you tried the "Copy to Folder" option?

If not, create a new local folder, using "File --> New Folder"; Name it
something that reflects the sort of articles you intend to save in it,
then, after selecting an article of interest, right-click on the
"subject" from the list of articles, and select "Copy to Folder",
landing on the new folder you created above. That saves it.
