   I'm not aware of any part of poppler that is not "GPL version 2 or later". 
Can 
   you point to a "v2 only" part that is actually linked into the library?

AFAIK, all the code from xpdf is licensed under the GPL, version 2
only.

I see that the poppler guys are licensing their changes with GPLv2 or
any later version. That is very good.
