Hi,

I've already added some comments to jmb.map about INCROP/OUTCROP, but now I
changed my mind a bit (don't be amazed why I communicate it this way, but I'm
not at home right now, so I don't have access to cvs).

Right now I think some special modes could be helpful to save jmb actions.
So actions like delete or edge stuff could work just contextive ... depending
on the actual mode.
Ok, some might say that some more modes could result in confusion, but I think
no.
Because when performing a demo production of a band, for example, usually you
don't need TAPE MODES ... but ... when editing a interview you usually use TAPE
MODES _only_. RFC

Examples:
When a mode will be activated that close the gap automatically, then we could
use the same actions, but the consequence will be different.
This mode(s) could be called as:
"SINGLE TAPE MODE" <ST>
and
"MULTI TAPE MODE" <MT>

.... because a (analog) tapes can't have a gap! ;-)

For example:
<ST>
Delete will affect the active track only.
<MT>
Delete will affect all track.

But I think user should have to separate the part(s) to be deleted by ^C<X>
first, since INCROP/OUTCROP stuff seems to be very inaccurate right now.

This leads to another question ... "How to check the parts to be deleted?"
Well, what about ...
"PLAY SELECTION" <S SPACE>
This action could play the selected clips only.
And ... if ^C<<X>> will be save enough (as suggested in jmb.map), we could use
just <<XC>> (no ^C) to delete the selected clips in one go.

So this leads to some counterparts of some actions IMO.
Since ^C<S> select a whole clip and <S SPACE> will play this selected clip
only, I would suggest to mark the whole clip to be a region when ^C<R> so <R
SPACE> will play this region.
And what could be the other consequences???
Yes .... similar to select stuff ....

REGIONS:
^C<RT> add another region by pointing at a clip
^R<ER> remove a region
^R[ET]LR move region
[ET] move all regions
<<XR>> delete region(s)
<CR> copy regions
<VR> paste region

SELECTIONS:
<<XC>> delete selection(s)
<VS> paste selections
[CS]LRUD

greetings
Reinhard
