I'm happy to go with the third logo for now (the one that won the
vote), as long as there's the understanding that the issue might
be reopened again in the future.

a while ago I wrote
I prefer http://www.brunier.nl/pspp/pspp3.png with a few 'improvements'.
-put gnu vertically in a bigger font
-put www.gnu.org at the blue 'bar' at the bottom (horizontaly)
-gray is not a very attractive color: red? , but don't know whether the contrast in grayscale is good enough.

unfortunately no reaction. I think with these improvements some more attention is given to the gnu part.
