Harry, that was the first thing I tried. Strangely not all file types have the value "Content Type".
In the folder .sav and .zsav, there are only references to the file name: SPSS.DataDocument and SPSS.DataFile respectively.
When I searched those names appear as folders in the same directory, and each folder defines the icon, name of file type and application that opens it (but does not refer to the mime type). I looked for other references to files sav or zsav in the registry, but I could not find anything.

In MSWindows, use regedit and have a look in: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
there should be a .sav
and I expect also a .zsav
inside .zsav I expect a "Content Type" with the mime-type.
