I certainly appreciate getting the latest bug fixes and features.

So, John's point, while valid, is a bit moot because I don't see that
there exists such a thing as an official "Windows PSPP release"... 
Maybe if there were a group of Windows users who would commit to a
process of formally testing releases, there would be more reason to
distinguish "better tested" and "less well tested" versions.
