Same with RHEL3.  It's trying to use a 512-entry font, that seems to mess
qemu up.  Replace /sbin/setfont by a symlink to /bin/true after installing,
and you shouldn't get it anymore (first you'd have to succeed to install it
though ;-)  After that it works like a charm for me.
