thank you for your interest!

RULE is certainly about making modern software accessible to anyone,
even if he can't afford expensive hardware.

Keep in mind however that, being its target limited hardware, it will have to
rely heavily on character based applications and configuration tools.
Not out of hate against GUIs, simply out of necessity: video cards
with low speed and RAM can just take so much...

Normally, this is defined as not user friendly.

I believe this is wrong, however, since what matters is that a user,
after reading the *user* documentation, can achieve all the real
functionality without being forced to rewrite and recompile code.

In other words, I like to think that something that does everything
which is needed fast, and doesn't force the user to become a
*programmer* too, is still user friendly, even if it doesn't use the
mouse.

Hence, RULE is user friendly, but expect its users to be willing to
learn.
