Bad example, perhaps.
I was trying to show the version of the modules on the server.
That message isn't from theinstall kernel, it's from my web servers 
kernel.

Using the installer kernel and the modules from my site?
Can you copy the full version mismatch message for me?

What kind of network card are you using? Perhaps I have one I can test 
with.
