I am preparing to write to the ctrans developer, but first I need
clarification of a few points in the evaluation report.
In short, this
program is not very easy to compile or use (no helpful error messages,
etc).
Could you please be more specific?
When you say "not very easy to ...use", what kind of "use" is that?
Do you mean it is not easy to find the translator binaries and run
them? Or do you mean that it is hard to get useful results with them
once you do manage to run them?
When you say "no helpful error messages", would you be more specific?
Which kinds of errors do you mean? Errors of failing to find the
executables to run them? Erroneous commands to the translator?
Erroneous Algol 68 programs to be translated?
