A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

Grzegorz Zebrowski <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Xbot - simple irc bot
System name: xbot
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

Description:
xbot is an IRC bot project. We at the xbot team believe that IRC is for
people not for bots, but still there is a need for organizing and moderating
the discussion. Most of time there are many users and the moderator
could have great amounts of work, which could discourage them. Here is
where bots come in. They provide features, which allow owners of the
channel to have complete control over it. Our project offers many features
like:
Implemented:
- automagical kick
- user acoounts with password and permissions
- running system commands on host and forwarding their output to irc channel
- managing modes (operator & voice)
- primitive command recognizing

Todo:
- automagical setting operator mode
- remote configuration
- preventing abuse and cursing
- html statistics (used to work under windows, but we moved the project to
linux recently, so not everything is ported yet)

In planning:
- i18n
- using botnet functionality
- preventing wallops and wallkicks

We hope that you will find our project suit your needs. Remember you too can
help developing free software. Just share your remarks with us, you can do it
via the xbot forum on savannah or the mailing-list or by mailing us directly.
Thank you for your interest in our work,
the xbot team.
