Brook Humphrey <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License: Package: webify your web
System name: phpwebify
Type: non-GNU

Description:
My project is a web content mamgement system. after working for lead dev for envolution.com some of our memebers were keeping there own cvs tree outside the main tree. They also had controle of the domain. They decided to delete the main cvs tree from sourceforge so I decided to start my own for now untill the new version of our core is done. For this I need cvs and other facilities and sourceforge has been down allot lately. So I came here instead. It was under gpl before and I am simply building on the core that is already there. This of coure means it will remain gpl. Also it would be great if you guys could import the cvs for me.
I have my current code running on my own site www.webmedic.net. And the code
can be found at ftp.webmedic.net/webify.tar.bz2

Other Software Required:
the only requirements as stated before are php 4.1 and a webserver.
Other Comments:
I will support this software but I do not do commercial contracts per say. It
is mostly for use for me to set up sites for my clients that they maintain.

Hi,

I'm evaluating the project you submitted for approval in Savannah.

In order to release your project under the GPL you
should write copyright notices and copying permission
statements at the beginning of every source-code file, and
include a copy of the plain text version of the GPL
(http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt copy it, for
instance, into a file named COPYING).

Please follow the advice of
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html

Could remove gif images files from your project?

Because of the patents (Unisys and IBM) covering the LZW
compression algorithm which is used in making GIF files,
it's impossible to have free software to generate proper
GIFs. They also apply to the compress program

For more informations, read
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/gif.html

The GPL FAQ can also help you understand the reason behind
thoses recommendations. For example, there is an entry explaining
why the GPL requires including a copy of the GPL with
every copy of the program:
 http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhyMustIInclude

Could you resubmit your project once it's done?
You can resubmit your project with ease by copying
the big re-registration URL provided in the mail
you received at submission

Regards,

Rudy
