Hi Paulo,

1) in principle I suppose it is not out of question for gnu packages to
depend on a common nongnu but free package.  But the first question
would be, why not make the common package gnu as well?

2) however, if you're talking about black.nongnu.org as the common
package, and I'm understanding the situation properly, I am very
doubtful that rms will accept any packages based on that, because he
specifically does not want to make it easier for people to replace parts
of the compiler with proprietary software.  That, to a large extent, is
why gcc is designed the way it is.
