Even though the student himself (CCed) still hasn't spoken up, I've been
informed on
<http://socghop.appspot.com/student_proposal/review/google/gsoc2009/phcoder/t123871330480>
by the potential mentor Bean Lee (CCed) that the student in fact already
does contribute to GRUB2, and he thus would be a appropriate choice for a
GSoC project.  His GRUB2 work can, for example, be seen on
<http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2009-04/threads.html> (look
for the author phcoder).

In case that there is now an additional slot to be filled that has not
yet been promised to another GNU subprojct, I would now undo my previous
statment and instead support this GRUB2 project (given the new input I
got today).
