I realized I didn't cc the group, in case there
is someone else out there using HP's or who remembers
more about the xauth/send stuff in Tcl/tk/BLT.

Hi Ginger,
Well, I don't have a ~($HOME)/.Xauthority file.
I think send is a tcl command, yes? I vaguely recall mention
of it and the xauth stuff when I was making tck/tk and/or BLT.
As I recall, one approach is to make either BLT, tk, or tcl
(or all three?...I can't recall) with some switch set so that it doesn't
use that xauth stuff. I am pretty sure
that is the approach I took, so for me barchart,
for example, works just fine.
However, I can't recall the details and I don't have time to
look until thursday or friday, probably.
Did you intend to make tck/tk/blt such that it
uses the xauth stuff? If not, you might try to
go back and read in the various README/Install files
for those and see how to make them with that stuff turned off.
Let me know how it goes...if you are still stuck
in a couple of days, I will ahve some time to look around
in my notes.
