Well, the speed argument is reasonable. Having said that my Indy already
has a (MIPS) JIT compiler for java (and so does my 586 laptop, and so does
your Sparc...). Besides, with built-in support for threading --- Java may
actually make more sense with respect to fast implementation than C does.
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the ... well you
get the idea.
