I remember now... The fdsk /MBR command is the one that the Windows tech
support group had me do as well. That, plus a reinstall of RedHat 4.2,
ought to take care of the LI problem...

        If this thread started from a boot that looks like LI and
nothing else
        ie LILO is corrupted, I had this problem also.  Here is what you
do
        to rewrite the MBR.  Make a DOS boot disk, boot and then run
"fdsk /MBR"
        This will rewrite the MBR without changing any patitions (or
anything else.)
