hi, guys,
I'm trying to run (only) gdb, to check out a problem that is
not responding at all well to printf trackdown.... But I can't figure
out how to get gdb to run. I know it's been on the list, but haven't
been able to tease out the how-to from the details. Tried:
1. Get Cygwin32 window. Do nothing else before saying "gdb". It runs.
OK. Try "gdb z:/gecko/source/gecko.exe". Gdb runs, but gecko won't.
Looks like it's missing gobs of swarm stuff because the swarm.exe
hasn't exe'd.
2. So same window,
cd /swarm
./swarm.exe
gdb z:/gecko/source/gecko.exe
Unable to find main.tcl in \share\gdbtcl.
Please set GDBTK_LIBRARY to a path that includes....
According to the "env" command, executing "swarm.exe" changed the
GDBTK_LIBRARY from C:\Cygnus\B19\share\gdbtcl to \share\gdbtcl. Where
it is not found.
I searched on the string GDBTK_LIBRARY in the /Swarm tree and found
nothing.
(How do you set those environment variables? setenv doesn't....)
3. I tried similar with a DOS window and got nowhere.
thanks,
Ginger.
