Dear Glen or somebody else:

While it is still fresh in your mind, how about writing up a FAQ entry
for Swarm movie directors/producers/stars!

I've not tried to make a movie, but I've been watching this thread long
enough to be interested. I would not know where to start, however, so
why don't you, while it is in your fingertips, tell me! I've not done
it, but I imagine you could write something like:

1) get these files from ftp.xxx,
2) take this patch XX and apply with this command, then
3) alter your swarm code so the zoomraster display is captured and saved
in a file called xxx.
4) view the file with xxx.

>From watching the thread, it is not completely clear to me what form
the output is in. I thought it was MPEG from the notes last summer (97),
but your ImageMagik comments now make me think otherwise.

Incidentally, I installed the MIX free xserver in windows and it is not
too massive (because it has only skeleton fonts, I think) and it runs
OK in win95. If the output were an animaged gif or mpeg, I think xanim
could be installed and run under MIX

Have I revealed enough ignorance?

Nobody wrote to tell me if the Faq-manager Swarm site works or not!
