Marcus asked me privately if perhaps my app was repeatedly executing
-setStateStopped. And (blush, blush) it is. I have a method -endTest which
halts the app if a given condition is true. After it halts the first time,
and I hit Start, it immediately halts again since the condition is still
true. The 'bug' was mine. 

Five hundred virtual pushups, then back to work ...
