Paul,
I tried the new rpm (swarm-with-hdf5-RH6-egcscorrected-1.4.1-1.i386.rpm),
and it did indeed eliminate the warning messages. However the program I'm
working on (based on sugarscape) still segfaults.
More specifically, when I start the program at the command line it brings
up some of the windows, and the control bar, but when I actually start the
model the segfault occurs.
Anyway, just a bit of a bug report... I wish I had taken better notes a
month or so ago when I naively installed glibc-2.1 rpms and experimented
with egcs versions which were later than the ones supplied with rh5.2.
