I don't think so.  I get those warnings, but ignore them per the
compiler directives I indicated.  And I did try it on Windows 98.

That should be fine, just make sure you don't have a swarm.dll in
your PATH that precedes the one in Swarm-2.1/bin.  You can check
by using "./mussel --version" (should say "Swarm 2000-03-25").
