This is a general user community question, I think, not an official
swarm question. I just wonder what people do about this kind of need.
I have several projects and I keep each one in CVS (like a good scout
should).
Several projects share some classes, and I have a difficult time keeping
all the files current. If I change the HierSocialEntropy.m file in one
project, then I want to also update that same file in another project.
So, rather than keep several copies of a class, one for each project, I
started wondering what I should do?
One possibility is to do like the UM-ExpTools. I could learn to make a
shared library (?) and then link it in with the various programs. I've
not done this because, on the off chance someone wants one of my
programs, I don't want to say "Oh, here, learn how to install this
library while you are at it."
So what are the other approaches?
This problem was pretty easy to manage when I had 2 shared files and 2
projects, but as those numbers grow, it is getting out of hand.
