I don't know, then. I uploaded my current libkaffeswarm.dll just in case
there was some mix-up with the version.

Abort (deliberate programmed failure) , segfault (bad pointer), and
return code, respectively. If you don't know what those mean, go buy
a book on C or POSIX. The definitions are here:
/Swarm-2.1.1/i686-pc-cygwin/include/sys/signal.h
Cygwin returns different return values, as I recall, but Swarm does not.
The gdb5 executable in the 2.1.1-fixes directory works for me on W2K:
