It works! It works!  Thank you very much for the effort, Marcus.  That
is the greatest.

I ran into one problem.  I think is vital/necessary to have
\swarm-2.2\bin at the front of the path. If I don't have it in the
front, swarm programs crash at runtime because they say they cannot find
tk80.dll.  I think there is some program like libtool in my
c:\cygwin\bin directory that causes this.  My system if
fouled-up/complicated because I've bashed it around to use Cygwin at the
same time as swarm-2.1.1, and I've got litter to clean out of
.bash_login and such.

As long as I make sure Swarm-2.2\bin is first in the PATH, all is well. 
I built several Objective-C programs and ran just fine.
