About a year or 18 months ago, Nigle Gilbert posted a detailed note 
about how he battled with SUSE and won. You might check it.

On RedHat linux, here are my versions:

tcl-8.3.3-65
tk-8.3.3-65

swarm-2.1.133.20020318-1Arch
