Which distro is the best for Swarm?

Hi,

so that I am not delayed by my distro's compilation errors on Swarm I am 
willing to set up a new Linux/BSD/Whatever distro.

Which one would you suggest so that configure/compile/etc runs fine?

With Tobias' binaries I can get it to run in Java batch mode  but nothing 
more. Thanks to Tobias for the current work for Suse.
