You can't run Swarm apps unless you are running the X server. The command line interface won't work.

Hi colleagues,

I am using Swarm under Linux. I can run my swarm code under the shell window under Gnome, but cannot run the same code before logging into Gnome (solely in a command-line shell). The error message is:

error: TkExtra(instance)

/usr/bin/javaswarm:/line1: 1720 Aborted APPHOME=/usr/local/j2sdk1.4.0 LD_LIBRARY_PATH=:/use/local/j2sdk1.4.0/jre/lib::/usr/lib: /usr/lib/swarm: /usr/X11R6/lib: CLASSPATH=' . : /usr/share/swarm/swarm.jar:/usr/share/swarm/kava.jar: /usr/local/j2sdk1.4.0/jre/rt.jar:' /usr/local/j2sdk1.4.0/jre/bin/java 'StartHeatbugs'.

What could be the problem?

Thanks,

Li
