yeah, that could be a way, but in my Linux distribution (gentoo) the
official way to install anything is to compile from sources downloaded
from the site, precompiled binaries exist but users are discouraged from
using them (otherwise why would they use such distribution).

and i'm still curious what made emacs a tool of choice for whatever you
use it for while building swarm?
