[Swarm-Support] Swarm and current Ubuntu

Is anyone successfully running Swarm on the current (9.x) version of 
Ubuntu?

For example, if you combine Jakson Aquino's installation instructions 
for 8.04 http://jalvesaq.googlepages.com/swarm.html with Paul Johnson's 
patches to BlT, will it work?

(And: is Ubuntu any better than Fedora at not "updating" packages until 
they don't work any more?)
