Is anyone successfully running Swarm on the current (9.x) version of Ubuntu?

For example, if you combine Jakson Aquino's installation instructions for 8.04 http://jalvesaq.googlepages.com/swarm.html with Paul Johnson's patches to BlT, will it work?

(And: is Ubuntu any better than Fedora at not "updating" packages until they don't work any more?)

I think my packages still work, if you have the blt that relies on
tcl/tk8.4, not the one that ships with newer ubuntu.

What about 64-bit? Would that mean editing BlT and installing it and Swarm from source?
