[Swarm-Support] Installation of SWARM on a Mac with Snow Leopard

Hello,

this is my first email to this list and I am a new swarm user.
I am working on a Mac with Snow Leopard and I could not get swarm to compile 
due to some issues with the 64bit architecture.

But I found a 2.3 version of swarm that did compile on my computer.
Is version 2.3 sufficiently stable to be used?

Plus, I prepared a Portfile for MacPorts to install swarm on macs that use 
MacPorts as a package manager.
The Portfile for swarm has not yet been approved by the MacPorts development 
team, but I hope that it will be soon.
