Depending on what you are actually trying to do, IMHO you are
spoiied for choice.  For instance,

  http://wyww.accesspdf.com/pdftk/

  http://holloway.co.nz/docvert/index.html

Simply making a thorough of the GNU software directory, will
provide many more.
