Can you please check out the attached patch (or run the current
version from the repository)? I hope that I fixed this, the problem is
that RGUserDialog wasn't aware of utf8. 

A releated question: does ALTlinux translate the package descriptions
to russian too? If so, in what format do you store the text? Is it
utf8? 

I ask because I got a request from the a person using the debian
translation project. Presumptively they store there stuff in the given
locale encoding. I have a small patch ready that makes it possible to
search in the translated description converting the search string back
to locale before the search. But before I commit this, I want to make
sure not to break other projects.
