Yes, cygwin has done screwy stuff with that,
I will have to use the automake -a -c  -f option..

automake -a -c -f 
that will redo the standard files.

Ok, I will test this at home under debian if I find the time.
But I have updated the lib,
`find -type l` says that there are no links

But, please do give the new version a test, :)

Yes I will, the best thing would be to setup a cvs version.
Otherwise, If we can first get the *_config.h to get generated first
and start useing that based on autoconf that would be a first start.
I have no intention of branching or keeping this stuff on my server
longer than needed, just wanted to ask for testing help.
