Would you make your mail software not expose my e-mail address in the reply. The messages are available from the web archive and I'm afraid that it can be harvested by spammers.

I don't think that would be a good idea. Proportional fonts require a very
different approach for screen composition - the existing framework for menus,
dialog boxes, etc will have to be abandoned. If we are talking about
I know it will be different to what I have now. The positioning will change but the interaction could remain unchanged.

proportional fonts, we might as well be talking about using native GUI controls
for the menus or the file-open dialog box. That will kill the extreme simplicity
and ellegance of porting WW to any platform (new clumsy GUI abstractions will
have to be created), will destroy the consistent look and feel and, most
importantly, will not bring any usability benefits.
No, no native GUI. I believe that WW's UI could go in an even better direction by being only character oriented.

(I couldn't care less whether MSDEV's menus use proportional fonts)
I just thought it could look better.

I started thinkig about it when musing about flexible storing of palette
in the .ini files.

Which goes to show that too much thinking is not always a good thing :-)
I didn't devote overly large portion of my brain on it. Just decided to throw an idea.
