Thanks, Teus. I was
able to sort out where the temporary files were placed and how
to insert a book name mapping into the contents.txt file. Then I
ran GoBibleCreator from the terminal and got what I needed. I
also figured out where the ui.properties file is stored, so by
replacing it, I get the Spanish interface coming out
automatically. I'm excited about being able to put our
translations on lower end cell phones, not the very bottom end
ones, but they don't have to be running Android or be iPhones.
It works on my $20 LG Tracfone.

Hi Loren,
Though Bibledit-Gtk exports to GoBible, it does not do much of that
export itself, but uses the GoBibleCreator for that.
When doing an export to GoBible, and then looking in the system log, you
can see everything what's happing there under the hood.
A sample log file from an export looks like this:
cd /tmp/bibledit/gobible; gobiblecreator /tmp/bibledit/gobible/ShonaTeam.xml
/usr/share/gobiblecreator/./GoBibleCore/ui.properties

It shows that most of the operations happen in folder
/tmp/bibledit/gobible. So some fiddling around were done with the names
there, and the files stored, there, and then to run the gobiblecreator
program again, you may have quite some options to fine-tune the
resulting .jar file.
And if you're stuck complete, there is always the people who know
everthing about the GoBible: http://code.google.com/p/gobible/
Teus.
