Thanks for the new build. My test case has 51475 cases and 159 variables; I couldn't get it to work on the 051512 build, so I took a subset of 13157 cases and ran LIST on that. That took about five minutes, so if the rate is the same (and it probably isn't; I tried running it without outputting to a text file, and it took a few minutes for any output to start appearing), then it should take 20 minutes to run the 51475 cases, which is how long it took me with the bugfix. I tried out the new build; when I ran FREQUENCIES on a variable, there was a temp file created. When I exited pspp, the temp file deleted itself, but the folder remains. And more interest, how does it compare with the speed of the much version in situations where it didn't crash? |
