Definitely.
And it's also nice being able to work out something at home and always know
that the progress is saved. I often do a few local commits before I push.
And especially with branches I'm not shy to just put up a skelleton or draft
and fill in the details later. People who want to know what I currently do can
checkout the branch (or look at the commit messages). I just have to keep in
mind to merge it as soon as it's ready to be checked by others, not only when
it's ready for public consumption - the wiki still is a staging area for the
main site, so we don't need to polish stuff before it gets there. We just need
to be ready to polish it (and keep some time free for it).
With the front page and a few others I perceive as entry-points I'm a bit more
careful, though.
