That's fine. *NIX doesn't care. Debian doesn't want the extension
so it's gone.

Sure, for Windows, which does care (for whichever unfathomable reason).

:-) We can't. That message is produced by the shell when, well, it cannot
find the command the user (GNUmed in that case) has asked for.
GNUmed first tries to run gm-print_doc failing which it tries to run
gm-print_doc.bat since it just might be ekeing (sp?) out a living on
a Windows machine.
Anyway, I made a note to myself looking at whether it'd be easy to check
for external-tools/gm-print_doc if running from a git tree. However, it could
then not depend on the logic "run w/o extension, then run *.bat" since both
might be there.
