I also thought about this. This plugin is for all free web browsers, 
not only Mozilla, it should even work in galeon, konqueror and 
others. We (the GCJ people) discussed this on irc and had no real 
reasons not to use it.

The plan was from the beginning to become GNU project. I never thought 
about doing this outside GNU.

The project is located on savannah. I requested via savannah to become 
a GNU project. Last I heard was that its in the decision phase and I 
just have to wait.

Well, I'm already a contributor to GCJ since some time and we dont 
wanted to put it directly into GCJ.
