    Can we do anything to help you in that process?

    As you said in an earlier email:

    We are facing exactly the same situation with libtool.  PHP
    4.0 and Apache 2.0 rely completely on libtool.  In the case
    of PHP, we already started to maintain our own version of
    libtool, because there has been no single reaction to our
    patches posted to libtool-patches so far.

    So, if there is anything we can do to help you, please let me
    know.
