It's an interesting question - normally vocal music doesn't have chords, since I can't sing two notes at once.
I disagree. Most chorals are essentially homophonic, meaning that everyone shares the same rhythm. That's indistinguishable from vocals on a chord progression. And even if you have separate stems/voices for a choir in two-staff notation of four-voice harmony, splitting the soprano temporarily will ride on single stems, namely true chords according to LilyPond's reckoning.
