Follow-up Comment #3, bug #43000 (project octave):
There is a missing check if the editor is available before connecting the
signal. This bug is already fixed in the gui-release branch.
The warning is a hint that the gui editor is not included during the build
process which is the case when QScintilla is missing. Do you have QScintilla
installed? I suggest to manually install a newer version of QScintilla since
Ubuntu 10.04. might include a quite old one.
When you are building from the sources, you could also use the gui-release
branch which includes some new features and bug fixes.
