Follow-up Comment #1:

Thanks for your bug report. This is a known bug and it has already been
reported (see bug #42596 and bug # 40242). 
As you correctly tagged this bug "OpenGL", I assume that you know you still
can switch to gnuplot graphics_toolkit in order to plot when the gui is
enabled.
