Follow-up Comment #21, bug #47571 (project octave): To comment #20: executing the test script yields: >> testumlaut string = ├╝ testumlaut.m is the user-defined function defined from: C:Userslorenz.moctavetestumlaut.m string='├╝' type testumlaut.m It does not print correctly, the two UTF-8 Bytes are displayed incorrectly.
