Follow-up Comment #31, bug #45659 (project octave): The FlexiBLAS project ( http://www.mpi-magdeburg.mpg.de/projects/flexiblas ) is an abstraction layer to the BLAS library to select a BLAS library during runtime. FlexiBLAS can display vendor string and version info for the currently selected BLAS backend, so may be their solution can also be used here.
