Follow-up Comment #25, bug #55178 (project octave):

Hello,

This happens with assert.m as well:


stopped in assert at line 99
[/usr/local/share/octave/7.0.0/m/testfun/assert.m] 
99:           error ("assert %s failed", argin);


Adding debug_on_error (false, "local"); line to assert.m at the beginning
solves the problem. Please verify.
