Follow-up Comment #33, bug #63437 (project octave):

First observations after the changes regarding the settings:

* The new default build started with the splash screen, which only appears
when running for the first time, although the settings file was existing. The
subsequent starts were normal.
* The gui seems to ignore the selected icon set.

I will try to find the issues and make more tests the next days.
